My Favourite Author

There are many famous and renowned authors around us. When it comes to deciding my favourite author,I am Reminded of only one name that is Rabindranath Tagore. Rabindranath Tagore is a Nobel laureate,poet, short story writer,novelist,lyricist,song writer,composer,singer,actor. He wrote in Bengali,his mother tongue. It is the mother of hunderd thousand of Bengalis in West Bengal, other different parts of India and Bangladesh. Tagore had been writing from an early childhood and gradually blossomed into what he became.

Examinations

Examinations are an integral part of student life. The day you go for admission to a school, examinations become a part of life. First it is the admission test. Once you get admitty,then you start having the quarterly,half-yearly and annual examinations. First, the tests are easy. Of course,the child hardly realises. Then as you go higher up in class, examinations start getting tougher by the day. You start crossing the levels in school - primary, middle and higher classes, examinations are there always. You leave school and quality for a college - may be academic or technical. But examinations are there too. Once you complete your studies, you apply for a job,there too you may have a test followed by an interview. So examinations are always there in our lives. India is a vast country. It is the second largest country in the world based on population after China. The current population of India is around 135 million and  it is increasing. The main reason is lack of education , ignorance, awareness and poverty.The successive governments have devised several measures,like family planning,programmes,vasectomy, banning child marriages,etc. But all these measures are ineffective when the people are not educated enough .Large scale measures like educating the masses is the first and foremost criteria and will be the first concrete step towards solving this ever increasing population problem. ( This can be elaborated to a greater length with facts, figures,graphs and other data.)

The Effect of Parents, Teachers, or Friends in Your Life

Man or woman,we grow up having different influences in our life. The first and foremost is the influence of the parents.Parents are our first teacher. They are our best friends and also the first guide and have an everlasting effect on our life. The first word a child utters or cries is 'Ma'. At any stage of life a man or a woman , whether happy or sad ,pain or not remember 'ma'. They may or may not realise it but this is a fact.( This can be elaborated to a greater length with facts and quotes.)

Essay Annual Day Function

Short Essay on Annual Day Function 150 Words in English Students had put up food stalls and games. The handicrafts made by students were also put up for sale. There were beautifully embroidered handkerchief, colorfully painted boxes and sheets of hand-made paper for sale. The atmosphere was relaxed and carefree as parents talked to teachers and also to other parents. I went around visiting all the game stalls and won a prize for ‘looping the joker’s nose’. There were lots of tasty snacks for sale and for once my mother gave me and my sister full freedom with chaat and ice creams. As dusk began to descend, people started to leave. The annual function ended with a vote of thanks speech by our principal, where in he also announced next day as the holiday.
